Air Reference Panel for Oxygen Sensors and Carbon Probes

February 3, 2010 psherwin Leave a comment

The A-13893 Series of air supplies is designed to provide reference and purge air for the AP Series of Carbon and O2 probes. All models use a rugged double-diaphragm pump designed for an industrial environment. The flow gauges have two-inch scales for readability and easy adjustment. A replaceable filter prevents particulate infiltration of the supply lines.

Models are available with a complete housing for surface mounting or with a front panel only for installation into a controlpanel. All versions are 50/60 Hz at 28 Watts.

New Economy Carbon Probe

The AP8 series carbon probe provides the benefit of low cost without compromising quality. Value engineering the probe has enabled use of standard components through simplified design. The AP8 uses the same proven Zirconia cell as our AP1 series probe. The protection tube is 1/2 inch, NPT full schedule 40, RA 330 pipe. The screw cover Aluminum connection head is the same as used on our thermocouples. All non-immersed components are rated for 260°C (500°F) or higher. The probe is available in standard stock sizes of 21″, 24″, 32″ and with screw or quick disconnect plugs. Just want to apologize for those trying to get through to the Eurotherm Website from links in this blog – we have refreshed the website but some of the links are still being set. Please accept my sincere apologies for this and we have our best IT people working to quickly resolve this situation. This should be completed by the end of this week. The good news is that the new website is easier to navigate, so you should still be able to quickly access the information even if not directed initially to the exact page. Feedback as always is very welcome. Eurotherm Website http://www.eurotherm.com

Piece of mind with precise datalogged control at source?

November 12, 2009 psherwin Leave a comment

…….imagine wiring furnace thermocouples direct into a black box that has inbuilt isolation (so eliminates noise issues), add the luxury of cold junction compensation per pair of thermocouples to enable an incredible accuracy of measurement and mix in the fact that the black box is a controller that can take a scalable number of universal inputs. Sounds good? but then top this with the boxes ability to datalog all this information at source in a tamperproof file format that stands up to the rigors of not only AMS2750D but also Pharmaceutical applications. Sounds great (or a touch like an infomercial) but there’s more, the ability to add a second processor into the box enables piece of mind – or redundancy as our tech dept like to call it.

Well I have to admit its not a black box, its a green box and is available today from Eurotherm, the T2550, more exciting information will follow.

Plan on visiting ASM2009 in Indianapolis in September?

We just received the ASM  Expo E-coupon which will give you free access to the Expo floor. ASM this year will be on 14-17 September (Expo 15-16 Sep) and includes a full Technical program.

We hope to see you there.   We will be posting more updates as we get closer to the show dates.

Learn How to Integrate Newest Solutions in Thermal Management

We just received the 2009 preliminary program of Thermal Management & Technology Symposium, to be held in Denver, CO on October 20-21.

solutionsThis year it’s featuring solutions to achieve thermal management. “It is critical that design and system engineers learn how to integrate these newest solutions, as solutions in thermal management are some of the most important factors affecting performance of a wide array of products and technologies today.”

Design engineers, system engineers, process engineers, material scientists and R&D managers will have the opportunity to learn about the most recent thermal management technologies.

Peter Sherwin of Eurotherm will present a session on Smarter Solutions for Heat Treatment. We will post more information on the content of his presentation closer to the date of the Symposium.

Find out more about this event.
